[EDK 24-166] (generate_target): Failed to execute XPS Script

If you receive the following error:


[Edk 24-166] (generate_target): Failed to execute XPS script. Please check for any errors reported by the XPS application in the console: [C:/Users/User/Documents/project_folder/project_name/project_name.srcs/sources_1/edk/proc_mod/__xps/pa/_proc_mod_synth.tcl]

it means your design has an error. Open up the EDK and try to generate netlist. It should tell you where your error is.

    hey,
    i am totally new to this and just followed a page for TRD and came up with the error while generating bitstream for the given code in the page.
    I have no idea how to open up EDK and generate netlist.
    Could you please help?

      Hey,

      What development platform are you working with? Which program did you get this in? When I got this error it was in PlanAhead, so I opened the EDK or XPS whatever you prefer to call it, and tried to generate netlist there [Hardware] > [Generate Netlist] that is where I got a more detailed error.

    i also face this problem.and i opened edk and then generate netlist but saying makefile is not created
